Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tech Bus Stop websites, programs, cohorts, events and community services.

Last updated 26 August 2026

Agreement and operator

By accessing the site or registering, you agree to these terms and any program- or event-specific terms presented before confirmation. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind it. “Tech Bus Stop”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator identified on your booking or invoice.

Using our services

You must provide accurate information, use our services lawfully and respect other participants. Some programs or events have additional eligibility, assessment, attendance or profile-verification requirements shown during registration.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 unless an experience expressly accepts younger participants with required guardian permission. Keep access credentials secure, do not share accounts, and promptly report unauthorised use. We may request reasonable evidence of eligibility or identity.

Registrations and availability

A registration is not guaranteed until you receive confirmation. Capacity, schedules, speakers, venues and program content may change. We will communicate material changes using the contact method associated with your registration.

Fees, payment and cancellation

Prices, taxes, payment schedule and included services will be disclosed before purchase. Payment providers may impose their own lawful terms. Cancellations, transfers and refunds follow the terms shown at booking and our Refunds & Cancellations Policy; statutory consumer rights continue to apply.

Programs, assessments and credentials

You remain responsible for participation, submissions and meeting published requirements. Gated assessments may include practical tasks and mentor review. We may withhold progression or a completion record where requirements are not met, work is not original, or integrity rules are breached. A review process will be available for material assessment disputes.

Events, hackathons and prizes

Event-specific rules govern team size, deadlines, judging, prizes, venue access and connected-profile verification. Judges’ good-faith decisions are final unless the published rules provide an appeal. Taxes, visas, equipment and personal travel costs remain the participant’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Community conduct

Participation is subject to our Community Guidelines. We may restrict access when conduct threatens safety, disrupts delivery, infringes rights or violates these terms.

Your submissions

You retain ownership of original portfolio, project and hackathon submissions. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, review and display a submission only as needed to deliver, assess or promote the relevant experience. Public promotion requires the permission described in the event rules or a separate release. You must have rights to everything submitted.

Third-party services

LinkedIn, X, payment providers, venues and external learning tools have their own terms and privacy practices. A link or integration does not mean we control or endorse every third-party service. Disconnecting a required profile before verification is complete may prevent registration.

Suspension, withdrawal and complaints

We may suspend access to protect people or systems, investigate misconduct, or enforce these terms. We will use a proportionate process and provide notice where safety, law or investigation integrity permits. Service complaints should be raised through Contact Us with the outcome requested and supporting records.

Content and promotional materials

Tech Bus Stop content and branding remain owned by their respective rights holders. Event promotional assets may be downloaded and shared for genuine promotion of that event, without misleading edits or implied endorsements.

Disclaimers

Learning outcomes depend on participation and circumstances. We do not guarantee employment, certification, prizes or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or events outside reasonable control, and any other liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution. This clause does not prevent a consumer from approaching the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, another competent regulator or a court with lawful jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as services evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions can be sent through Contact Us.
